"a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design"

... so said Robert Lewis Stevenson about the beloved Arthur's Seat, a nature lover's paradise in Edinburgh's Holyrood Park.

On the final day of Fresher's Week my friend Sara and I joined the Uni's Hillwalking Society for a jaunt to the top of Edinburgh's most famous mini mountain. With about twenty other die-hards we trudged through wind and rain, slipping on rocks and shielding our faces from the downpour, until we reached the peak -- one of the possible locations of the legendary castle Camelot.

Soaked and all smiles :)

Then, as we descended the other side of Arthur's Seat, the skies cleared, the sun shone, and...

... I was greeted by my very first Scottish rainbow!

A very happy bunny indeed, I hurried my tail over to Greenmantle Pub with the rest of the Society, where Sara and I shared snacks and stories for the rest of the afternoon.
