To whom it may concern--
Whew. Life sure has a way of happening when we're least expecting it, when we feel least prepared, when we're quite happily settling into placidity and routine. But like Europa holding onto Jove's horn as he paddled her out into the raging sea, we don't choose to jump ship, either, do we?
I've received several requests from friends and family to start this bad boy of a blog back up. My life looked pretty different from under a red umbrella on the streets of London. So, what's new over here, in sunny West Philadelphia?
Well, first I should tell you that I'm awful with technology. And it seems I've reached my website photo quota, so you'll have to refer to my Facebook profile for pictorial updates (or contact me for emailed photos!).
Thus, how shall I begin here? How to resume?
Now that I'm finished with my Philosophy major and am settling into thesis mode for English, I think it's prime time that my relationship to literature, poetics, and language come into the fore. Thus, I plan to make this little sliver of the internet my digital collection of reflections, poems, and intellectual cogitations. Let's see how it goes, shall we?
I don't know who you are or when you're reading this, but welcome. I'm writing for both of us.
