upward, onward

My time in New York is coming to a close.

This has been a summer of intense -- sometimes painful, usually pleasurable -- self discovery and interaction with the world. I've shared this place with incredible people. I've discovered new ideas. I've been lucky enough to create beautiful memories that I will carry with me, always.

Though I'm eagerly awaiting my first breath of fresh air back home on the farm, I am making time to reflect and cherish all I've experienced in this, the biggest of cities.

Central Park, viewed with my favorite Amy at my side.

A nighttime screening of 'Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte' at Bryant Park. Two of the strongest feminists I know sat on either side of me, and I loved every moment.

Sipping g&t in Williamsburg with the most inspirational woman I've met.

Habibi :) My favorite Saudi man, who never ceases to amaze me.
My big sister, my best friend. I adore you more than you know.

I never wanted to live here. I still don't really want to. But this place is inspirational with its eerie, intangible intellectual charge that surges along each avenue and through the windows of every sky scraper.

Thank you for all you've given me, you big apple, you!
