lately

Summers fly. I know this.

But this is the second week of August! That almost rounds to September.

PBK induction in May. A serious affair.

These days, Office Max parking lots swarm with primary school students, dragging their parents toward the printed binders and sparkly gel pens (are gel pens still cool?). Suede and cashmere accessories are now wistfully draped across forearms, as if the sartorial world will wait no more for those crisp autumnal afternoons. I've even begun piling my jumpers in a corner of my room, topped by my teetering, ever-augmenting London packing list.

So, before the season yields to grayer skies and crunchier trail paths, here are some photos of what I've actually been up to in New York this summer, while time has been busy fleeing:

Crosby, Stills, and Nash. They still got it.

Over my shoulder, New York whispered "told you so."

Dozens of train trips and months of Big Apple adventures later, I'm savoring each delicious, quiet moment at home. Far too soon I'll jet off once more, toward months of missing the people and places that have most made me who I am. Despite the sparkling cities that inspire and amaze me, these are the memories I treasure most:
