The summer following freshman year at Penn, I attended arguably the coolest summer camp in existence: feminist boot camp. Joining like-minded women and men, we spent a week together in Manhattan learning about gender issues in media, politics, the arts, philanthropy, criminology, and more. The camp is organized and run by two famous feminists and friends, who together founded Soapbox, Inc., an organization that plans events across the country to connect feminists and their ideas. At camp, we met activists, scholars, and business(wo)men who fight for gender equity in their professional and personal lives. We gained access to businesses and studios like The Feminist Press, Women Make Movies, and Blustockings Feminist Bookstore. It was amazing.

Now, three years later, I've been selected for the Alumnae Blogger Series on their blog, SoapVOX. Over the next few months, I'll be writing about feminism from my perspective - and how these beliefs intersect with my experience of world events, personal experiences, and the life I'll lead in London.
Find my little blogger introduction here.
I'll link my posts here, so stay tuned for updates!
