officially, a friend

A couple weeks ago, I shimmied into a little black dress and whisked myself into midtown Manhattan for my first LSE event.

Well, by shimmied I mean tugged on at the crack of dawn, and that whisking probably appeared a bit more like schlepping from the office after work.

But, nonetheless, I did attend my first event for my graduate program: a "bon voyage" party for accepted students, hosted by the New York chapter of alumni. I met another woman from my program beforehand, and we successfully navigated the party and its niceties together.

OH YES, I have been dubbed worthy of the website of the Alumni and Friends of the London School of Economics. And since I'm not yet an alumna, I guess LSE and I are officially friends! This may be a small victory, but I'll take it. I'd say my London adventure is off to a jolly good start!
